Our large volume shipping discounts from all of our carriers is passed on to you.

SHUTTERS R US is working to control shipping costs for all of our products. We have standard Road, Sea and Air freight charges at hand, and offer our customers the choice of receiver pay (freight collect) or to use their own shipper or carrier. We will obtain the most efficient and affordable means of delivery and will either advise you of the rate or will use our pre quoted land rate billed to your order.

There are some exceptions and/or delivery minimums applied to the rates due to factors beyond our control. Most carriers charge a residential delivery charge. This charge is added to the freight bill for any delivery made to a noncommercial address due to the carrier having to modify the route on residential roads not designed for large trucks to a facility that is ill prepared to handle or offload the shipment. Often it is difficult to schedule a delivery time and you must be there to accept and sign for the delivery. An alternative arrangement may be to have the shipment sent to your office or a commercial address where a shipment can be delivered on route. Thus avoiding the residential delivery fee.

There may be a surcharge on oversized shipments. An oversized shipment is any item where the length is greater than 2500 mm or the item's length plus girth exceeds 3300mm. Most people receive their merchandise within 1 to 5 days after the ate of dispatch; however, there is no way to predict the exact duration or whether your merchandise will even arrive within that time frame. Your distance from our manufacturing facility is the biggest factor.

Also, there may be a back order on one of your selections (in the case where your order includes both 24 hour quick ship and custom made items) they will each be shipped separately (unless specified, saving you one shipping docket. When your products are large, they may need to be shipped by common carrier (trucking lines), and this type of carrier takes longer, and extends the time frame several days.

If you must have your products by a certain date, then you should consider requesting special handling, which can be arranged at an additional cost. 24 hour quick ship means that we dispatch the goods within 24 hours of receipt of cleared funds (in the case of a cheque/check or bank draft) or receipt of authorization from credit card facilities.

Receiving your shipped goods Please inspect your shutters when they arrive. If there is damage, you must notify the shipping company immediately in writing. You must file the claim as we do not do this for you. Potential damages to look for on receipt of your shutters are firstly to inspect the packaging for damage. Open the packaging and check for dented wood, chipping of paint or broken or shattered blades.

All Sample packs and small panel orders are packed in sealed cardboard boxes. Large panels are bubble wrap and cardboard protected and strapped in multiple as a manageable unit.

All major interstate and export orders are protective wrapped and wooden crated.
