A solvent based, oil type, penetrating composition for interior hard or softwood surfaces such as trim, furniture, cabinetry and doors. Application can be by brush or wiping.
Danish Oil is a blend of oils and resins which seals, feeds and finishes all varieties of wood, without leaving a surface film to chip or scratch. Apply with a clean rag or brush to a well sanded surface. Drying time is between 4 and 8 hours depending on temperature. Brushes can be cleaned with mineral spirits. Danish Oil can be over coated with a Furniture Wax for softer sheen.
Note: We do not apply any type of stains or colours to the Danish Oil application or to the wood. We hand select our Western Red Cedar to a 30% colour and grain variation so that it is aesthetically appealing and also natural looking. Operating components/end caps colour match - Coffee.
Because our Shutters and Frames are prepared and painted individually, it is possible to have two colours on one panel. Be adventurous.

All assemblies are constructed on the discretion of the manufacturer on the above mentioned practice. Special colours may be produced in minimum quantities to justify the production costs at the cost to the project quoted by request.
Allow $135 for each colour matching service. We will send you 2 colour chips for approval and require one to be signed on the back as approval and sent back to us.
We will charge $25/m² circumferential coverage to paint your custom colour, this accounts for a rebate of the standard colour already charged in the Standard Price List.
There is an extra charge for hand applied stains, distressing, antique or crackle finishes.
Colour matching may not produce exact match to your sample depending on age of sample, composition of base material, or paint type and composition used etc.
