Shutters

IMPORTANT READING FOR YOUR RESEARCH IN BUYING VALUE ADDING SHUTTERS:

ASK THE RELEVANT QUESTIONS....

IS YOUR SELLER LICENSED TO INSTALL?(Fair Trading Act or Consumer Protection Board -most states). DO THEY USE SUBCONTRACTORS OR USE THERE OWN PEOPLE?

Most resellers have entered the Shutter market from the "Blind Industry" because they saw it as a lucrative field but have no building or specialist shutter background which we believe essential. ( after all its not too difficult to measure and hang a blind. According to our National Yellow pages research carried out since 2001 many hundred have arrived in our Industry and many show no passion for this specialty field. Our staff have been with us for many years, ( we have no subbies) some seniors have been with us from inception in the 90's. We have grown up in the Shutter business, been worldwide to further our knowledge and spread the word of our patentetd system at various expos internationally.

ARE YOU BUYING FROM A CHINESE SUPPLY RESELLER ?

There are not too many Shutter manufacturers in Australia. You may be told that the seller is the manufacturer, or that the shutters are made in Australia. Most are from China or now Indonesia sold into teh low end of market. Sadly these imports are devaluing the prestige of the product. It is generally agreed that Plantation Shutters add value to a project...that perception is at risk unless the inherent value is protected. Why is it better to buy from an Australian manufacturer? apart from our obvious nationalistic reply we say you will know what you are getting, in our case come see your shutters being made in Sydney, or at least know the face behind the Warranty....and in our case enjoy the fast production lead times we are relied upon for.

GUARANTEES AND LEAD TIMES

Be sure that the promise of performance is upheld and replacment or other satisfactory mitigation is at hand in a timely manner from the supplier. Will a warranty be honoured in the event that failure becomes evident in the case of frame, paint or connecting pins/tilt rod failure?
